We are looking for a bioinformatics scientist to join our interdisciplinary team. You will become an important part of the team working cross-functionally with other groups in the company and supporting the development and analysis of proteomics data analysis for challenging and exciting customer and R&D projects. You'll drive the development of our data products and bridge science and business development department. Collaborate effectively in an multifaceted environment, and actively foster transparent, solution-oriented dialogue within the team.

Your role and responsibilities:

Bioinformatic, statistical and machine learning analysis of proteomics data (e.g. target identification, protein turnover analysis, treatment dependent changes of post-translational modifications, disease and treatment biomarkers)
Development and maintenance of data products, including communication with business development and clients.
Lead applied research projects to establish new services for clients applying advanced data analysis techniques
Become an independent project leader, taking customer projects from start to finish, generating reports, and presentation to our clients

Your profile:

M.Sc. or Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemistry, biology, or a related field, with strong competence and at least three year of experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, and biostatistics
Demonstrated experience in the analysis of large datasets from omics technologies
Strong programming and software development skills: preferably Python or R
Experience with JavaScript and front-end development are a plus
Experience with statistics and machine learning is beneficial
Communicate and collaborate effectively in an interdisciplinary environment, and actively foster transparent, solution-oriented dialogue within the team
Think and act with a strategic mindset, anticipating future needs, aligning your activities with overarching goals, and translating insights into concrete, long-term actions
Structure and prioritize your work independently, organizing multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic setting while maintaining a high standard of quality
Strong presentation and communication skills in English
