Your role and responsibilities:
- Manage and develop the accounting team, together with sharing knowledge with others in the organization in ways their role contributes to overall performance of the company.
- Maintaining and refining the company’s accounting information systems, leading implementations and assessment of new applications.
- Overseeing company accounting policy and accounting control over the financial reporting function, including documenting and developing new policies as needed.
- Lead the build and compilation of the company’s financial planning and analysis, including regular budget cycles and variance prevention / tracking together with the CFO.
- Maintain oversight of the general ledger and monthly close, tax, accounts receivable and payable, and payroll. Implement monthly close process, oversee monthly preparation of financial statements and deliver reporting materials.
- Support the commercial team in contracting and revenue recognition, together with pricing and analytical support.
- Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly management / investor reporting with the accounting team, and assist with other financial analysis as needed (in particular for capital investments and contract negotiations).
- Maintain relationship with local external auditors and coordinate the annual audit in partnership with the team at OmicScouts.
- Implement and monitor cash controls and maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over all accounting and treasury activities.
